There’s a third path for everything in life. Unfortunatly, our brain is tricking us by only exploring options within its own borders. Not only do we favour easy solutions, we embrace easy choices as well. That leaves us to believe there are only two ways of getting things right.
When it comes to the point how we should present or position our company in the ever growing chat-jungle of social media conversations, we tend to yearn for obvious solutions. We either go for a nice but meaningless chat-blarama or start toturing ourselves to avoid the impression of being just plain advertisers trying to pretend not being plain advertisers.
Solution I: Well, chat along.
Solution II: Try harder!
Be creative in creating Third Options
Creating a “Third Personality” in Social Media could be the thing. Instead of making people talk to a detergent, shower gel or a tampax, just mingle with crowds as someone they can talk to. Since I don’t know anyone who talks to a tampax in real life, why should someone desire to do so in social media? Let Kitty do the job!
